Frosty ready

Frosty is ready, I took her to the framer. Unfortunately they do not have tha same frame as they used for Spring and Autumn, so I choose something similar. Hopefully they will blend in. Frosty is really a sparkly one: 1800+beads are stitched on...

4 handed beading

Beading goes well but it takes time... I have a little helper which does not speed up the process but it is even more fun for sure. I put the needle into the fabric, he pulls through and puts the bead on and then it is my turn to with the needle to find the right place. The idea with the cd holder and double sided tape is brilliant it keeps all the beads in one place.

I run out of the 3865floss which matches the background perfectly. And actually I run out of 51 bead but I was extremely lucky because I have found some remaining from some other project so I am saved. Now I have to wait for the new dmc from casa cenina. It is already on the way should arrive tomorrow or the day after latest.

I have finished the stitching part, now comes the bling: all the beads, sparklies are ready to be sewn on! It was quite a speedy one: I started the last quarter 16 days ago, and now I am ready. The other 3 quarter took more than 2 years to finish...

I made some nice progess on Frosty Knotgarden. The motivation is there, I kitted Summer and in the weekend I ordered the special threads for Autumn and Winter Watergarden. It will take some time to use them: I just checked my history: I ordered the kit for Frosty in 2011, started in 2013, and will finish it this year. Hopefully Watergardens will not be alone for 4 years :)

These tiny flowers are real nice (click to see them better!) but I simply hate to do the ice on them. One is still remains in the corner to be iced, but I will do that with the clouds. The clouds are quite big, takes quite long to stitch them, but I like to do them a lot. When they are ready only the beads will remain. I target end of May - we will see...

I restarted Frosty Knotgarden, I am eager to start another Chatelaine (Summer Knotgarden) but I want to finish some of the remaining part prior. And some more are already on my list: Winter and Autumn Watergarden, Pomarium, and perhaps Herbularius and Tinctorium will appear somewhen on my walls as well...

Júniusi IHSW - hűsítő percek - IHSW June - Cool moments

A múltkor a hideg miatt panaszkodtam, nos, most megjött a meleg. 30 fok éjjel a sötétben, 40 délután a teraszon. Úgyhogy a télikert hűvöse kifejezetten jól esett. És haladtam is vele, kész a negyede! A külső fáról még hiányzik az ág, de elsőre nem találtam milyen színnel kell hímezni, így az kimaradt. Kattintsatok a nagyobb képekért!

Last time I was complaining bcause of the cold, now I am complaining because it is too hot...In two weeeks time the temperature tripled (or went up even more) - 30 degrees during the night, 40 in the afternoon on the balcony. So the cool of Frosty Knotgarden came handy, I am ready with the 1st quarter, only the branches on the outside tree are missing. I did not find the right color, so I skipped it. Tél a nyárban - Frosty summer

Az idő még mindig elég ronda, pár napja még a fűtést is bekapcsoltuk. Most zuhog, ilyen magas sosem volt a Duna, mint most. Én pedig benn ülök, és lassan, de biztosan haladok a Télikerttel.

The weather is still awful, a few days ago we turned the heating on. In summer! Now it is raining, the river Danube is higher than ever, almost 9m (usual depth cc 4-5m). I am sitting tight, waiting for better times and making some progress with Frosty Knotgarden.

Márciusi IHSW March

Újra eltelt egy hónap, és most megpróbálom nem 2hetes késéssel felrakni a hétvége eredményét. Nem túl sok, mert sok idő ment el a készlet összerakásával - fonalak összeszedése, minta nyomtatása, szerkesztése, hogy könnyebben menjen a munka, ugyanis újba kezdtem: a Télikert a soros. A nyári sincs messze, de a hétvégi hóvihar tiszteletére a Télikerttel kezdtem. A tavaszi és az őszikert testvére, és váltásnak beköszön majd hamarosan a nyári is!

One more month flew by, and I am trying my best to keep up with IHSW. Not too much, because I spent most of the time with putting the kit together, printing and enlarging chart  - because I have a new start: Frosty Knotgarden. After Autumn and Spring Summer is tagging along, but I gave in to General Winter: he has visited Hungary this weekend. 

Actually it was an emergency state in Hungary due to the weather, the western highways were closed down for a day, and many people stuck on the road for 20-25 hours! My Grandpa is 89 years old and he told me he had never experienced such weather in his whole life - and it is right, at this time of the year we usually take our spring coats, or even a shirt is enough!

Hónapokkal ezelőtt, április 12én megrendeltem 2 Chatelaine készletet. Már a rendeléskor nagyon aggódtam vajon megérkezi-e, és sajna úgy tűnik tényleg eltüntek. Az EuropeanXStitch szerint még egy sem tűnt el soha, csak max nagyon sokáig vitte a posta, de ebben nem nagyon hiszek... Felajánlották, hogy gyári áron újraküldik, hát nem tudom...Most gondolkodom meg merjem-e újra rendelni...
