IHSW & TUSAL

This weekend was the 1st IHSW for 2012 - at least for the others. In my family there is a huge gathering this weekend, name and birthdays for almost everyone, so I was happy to get any needles into my hand. I do not know whether you have heard about celebrating nameday. It is a Catholic custom, all the names are connected to a saint with the same name, and all the saints have a day (or more) dedicated to them in the calendar. Hungary used to be a Catholic coutry in the Middle Ages, and the custom stayed until today for non-Catholics as well: on the day of your saint you get presents from your family, it is just like a 2nd birthday.

Despite the celebrations I managed to finish part 4 of Autumn Knotgarden. I took me quite a while, altogether 3 weeks to catch up with part 3 and finish part 4. Well, there was some action otherwise, my little son started nursery school, he was a little ill, we were visiting parents, I read many good books, but IHSW gave me the final kick and it is ready now.

 Chatelaine: Autumn Knotgarden
Fonal/Floss: DMC + many silks as suggested in the kit
Anyag/Fabric: Zweigart antique white 32 ct Belfast

And my ORT jar for TUSAL, I still need to find something nice, but I used this glass for now. Well, I never thought it is so difficult to take a photo of a jar, it was the 30th try, I went arount the whole flat at least 4 times to get something usable...
