Tavaszi forduló / Spring is all around

Köszönöm a vonatnak szóló elismerő szavakat, nagyon jól estek:) Most, hogy készen lettem vele, visszatértem a tavaszikerthez. Leginkább a keretet hímeztem, és közben, hogy nagyon el ne unjam, bele-belenyúltam a közepébe. A keretben van néhány apró virág, és itt kicsit próbálgattam milyen legyen a körvonala. Az első képen még körvonal nélkül, igazából nem is látszik semmi.

Thanks for all the really nice comments for my little train, it felt good to have so much appreciation :) Now, that I finished the dragonling, I turned back to Spring Knotgarden. I was working mostly on the border, and now and then, when it became extremely boring put some stitches to the middle as well. There are some little plants in the meadow and I was playing around for a better effect. In the first picture no backstich, you can hardly see the plants.

Az első a hivatalos minta, de nagyon csúnya lett. Közben Ineke blogján jó ötletet láttam kicserélte vékony sötét fonalra a vastag kék Edmar Rayon-t. Én is követtem a példáját, sokkal szebb szerintem! De a kék lebontása kegyetlen feladat volt, sosem gondoltam volna...

The first is the official pattern, but I did not like the blue rayon at all. In the meantime I have seen Ineke's blog that she changed it to a dark backstitch and I followed the lead: much nicer, isn't is? But to frog the rayon - ugh, never again!

Újra sínen - Back on Track

Jó sokáig eltűntem, a nyár valahogy nem kedvezett a hímzésnek. Rengeteget dolgoztam, az esti hímzőidőt is sokszor beáldoztam, vagy ha nem, akkor perceken belül leragadt a szemem. És persze nyaraltunk is, ha nem is sokat, egy 2 1/éves kíváncsi fiúval kész kiképzőtábor a nyaralás! De azután összekaptam magam hímzésileg, és az IHSW tiszteletére befejeztem a vonatom utolsó előtti oldalát. Megnéztem, több, mint 3 hónapig húztam.

I have disappeared for quite a while, summer somehow disagrees with stitching this year. I have worked overtime, even sacrifying my stitching time in the night, or if not, then I fell asleep in a minute. And of course we went on holiday, althought not for a big one. With a 2 1/2 year old son holiday is worse than a military camp:) But for August IHSW I got myself together and finished the last but one page of the Train. I have checked it took more than 3months!

Örömtánc / Happy Dance

Készen lettem az Őszikerttel!!!! A Chatelaine befejezetlenprojektirtó verseny (WIP killing contest, tudtok rá jobbat?) eredményeként pici késéssel, de befejeztem az Őszikertet, remélem a 30 perccel éjfél utáni zárás nem jelent diszkvalifikációt. Ha igen, akkor is megérte:))). Nem is szaporítom a szót, beszéljenek a képek, jó sok!

Happy dance, I am ready with the Autumn Knotgarden! The Chatelaine WIP killing contest gave me enough encouragement to finish my first big Chatelaine, and hopefully the 30 minutes delay to midnight 31 May is not a disqualifying momentum. In case yes, I do not mind, I am delighted with my result and the motivation I got from the contest. Thanks for organising! And I do not write any more, let the photos tell the rest. And there is many of them!

IHSW ősziesen - Autumnal IHSW

Most hétvége elvileg a hímzésnek, gyakorlatilag a családnak szentelődött, de egy kicsit azért haladtam az Őszikerttel. Nagyon szép ez a rész amit most hímzek, de rettenetesen megszenvedtem, mire rájöttem hogy is működnek a Jessica öltések. Ezek a kis kék kör alakú őszirózsák oldalt, és az elsőnek minimum 10x nekifutottam és visszabontottam mire jó lett. Még nem tökéletes, de rajta vagyok... Ez az Őszikert utolsó része, 2 oldalt a kék és narancs virágok (őszirózsa és napraforgó, csak hogy tudjátok :))) ) valamint a sarkokban a csipkebogyók, és utána már csak a gyöngyözés és kész! This weekend - in theory - was about IHSW and stitching, but life and family was calling me, so there was only a small progress on the last part of Autumn Knotgarden. This part is really beautiful, the blue Auster flowers, orange sunflowers, and the rosehips in the corners are pleasure to look at, but I had quite a fight with the Jessica stitches in the Austers. I started and frogged the first at least 10 times, maybe more, till I gave up, asked some help from the yuku forum, and with this help I managed to stitch after the 3rd trial:))) Still not perfect, but working on, there is 8x8=64 jessicas around the center, way to improve! This is the last part of the design, after finishing the corners, the top and the bottom sides only the beading remains, and ready! Click on for the details

Haladok, haladok - I am on my way

Befejeztem a 18. oldalt a vonatból, bár a sok munkám miatt kicsit lassabban, mint terveztem, de kész! Nézzétek a keretet, már csak 2 van hátra, de egy kicsit félreteszem az Őszikert miatt. A nagynál már érdemes kattintani, mert olyan hatalmas, hogy nem látszik a fotón rendesen.

I have finished page 18th of the train, due to the huge amount of tasks at work a little later than planned, but at least it is ready! Look at the sideline, there is only 2 pages left, but now I am going back to Autumn Knotgarden. Dilemma

A hosszú hétvégén  nagyon jól haladtam a vonattal, a új oldalnak 2/3a készen van. Tiszta felüdülés volt az előző oldal rengeteg színváltása után a nagy egységes felületeket kitölteni. De most nagy dilemmába kerültem, szívem szerint, ha már ilyen lendületben vagyok, akkor befejezném ezt az oldalt, és csak akkor kezdeném az Őszikertet.

De! Tegnap megérkezett az Őszikert befejező része, és nagyon kíváncsi vagyok rá, valamint az sem elhanyagolható, hogy beneveztem a Chateleine befejező versenyre, és ott május 31 a határidő, hogy kész legyen az Őszikert is. A tavaszikert esélytelen, és ha vonatozok, az Őszikert sem biztos. Szóval hezitálok, hezitálok. Addig is 2 fotó:

In the long weekend I made a real good progress on my little train, 2/3 of the new page is ready. It was a real pleasure to fill in the big homogenous blocks after the confetti of the prevoius page. But now I am facing a big big problem. To tell you the truth I would rather finish this page till I am in the mood, and start Autumn Knotgarden only after that.

But! Yesterday the last part was published, and not only I am really curious of the final design, but I entered the Chatelaine WIP Killing Contest, where the deadline is 31 May to finish my WIPs. Spring KG is out of the question, but Autumn is feasible - but it is in a real danger if I stick to my train now. So I have a Dilemma. But till I am hesitating here you are some photos:

Befejeztem a 17. oldalt, már csak 3 van hátra! Ez az oldal elég lassan ment, rengeteg ciráda és konfetti volt benne, de készen vagyok. Még hónap végéig folytatom, de ha megjön az Őszikert vége, akkor azt fogom gyorsan befejezni.  A közeli fotót úgy nézzétek, hogy kipróbáltam a szkennelést, én nem sok különbséget látok a fotóhoz képest.

I have finished page 17, only 3 more to go! This was quite a slow one, full of fancy confetti, but at least is is over. I will work on the next page till the end of the month, but when the last part of Autumn Knotgarden is out I want to finish that.

Hasznos IHSW / Productive IHSW

A hímzős hétvégén a vonattal foglalkoztam, és haladtam is vele. Sajna elég lassan ment, mert kocsi aranymintája ugyan igen mutatós, de legalább annyira munkás is, rengeteg színnel készül, és ami egyfélének látszó sárga, az is legalább 4-5 színből áll össze. De megéri! Nézzétek meg a fotókat, egyre közelebbről készítettem őket.

During IHSW I was working on my train. It is not a quick process, because the golden scrolls on the carriage are gorgeous, but need a lot of time and patience. I used zillion of colours for all the confetti, and even those yellow lines which look one colour are made up of 4-5 different ones. But it definitely worth, check out the zoomed photos!

Újra sínen / Back on track

A Tavaszikert után újra belehúztam a vonatba. Még bőven van hátra belőle, de a keret nyoma mellett látjátok a kockázás végét? Na, az már a legeslegvége! Hétvégén IHSW, és remélem jó sokat fogok haladni.

After working on Spring Knotgarden I pulled out my train again. I made some progress, but there is still much to do. But can you see the sidelines next to the outline of the frame? Yes, that is the end of the design! This weekend is IHSW and I am planning to stitch a lot.

Tavaszi hangulatban / Feeling Springy

Jó régen jelentkeztem, mostanában kevesebb idő jut a hímzésre, a blogolásról meg inkább nem is beszélek... Annak ellenére, hogy megfogadtam, havonta egy oldalt haladok a vonattal, most sokkal nagyobb kedvem volt a Tavaszikerthez, ezért inkább azt folytattam. Túl sok sikert nem mondhatok magaménak, de ugye aki a kicsit nem becsüli, a nagyot nem érdemli! Befejeztem az egyik oldalán a keretet, elég szenvedős, de azért ez a második fele már jobban ment, mint az első. Azóta láttam egy kicsit módosított képet Ineke blogján, sokkal jobban tetszik, hogy a kis fákat a vastag kék Marlitt műselyem helyett egyszálas zölddel hímezte körbe, szerintem én is visszabontom és átcserélem.  (Az múltkori, csak angol bejegyzésért pedig elnézést, de iszonyatosan fáradt voltam, és mivel egy angolos blogról kaptam díjat, ezért neki köszöntem meg.)

It was quite a while since I managed to share something with you, but I do not have enough time even to stitch, not mentioning blogging... Despite my promise to finish 1 page of my train each month, in March I preferred to stick to Spring Knotgarden. I was not extremely successful, but as the Hungarian saying goes "who does not value the small, does not deserve the big one"! I finally finished the framing bushes on one side - it is really tough, but the second half was much quicker than the first. Since I backstitched the little bushes with blue I have seen a much nicer finish at Ineke's blog, with one ply of dark green instead of the Marlitt Rayon. I think I will frog and change them in the near future.

Spring had arrived

Megjött a tavasz Magyarországra, és újra nekifutottam a Tavaszikert jobb felső sarkának. Azt hittem sosem sikerül: az elmúlt hónapokban vagy 4x nekiugrottam, de mindig feladtam pár öltés után. Még sosem hímeztem egyszálasan, és ezt kellett negyed, fél és rendes öltésekkel kombinálni, megspékelve azzal, hogy szinte minden öltés más színű volt. De nem adtam fel, megvilágosodtam, kivarrtam az egyszálas minivirágokat, és utána könnyebben ment a többi. Remélem a következő oldal már gyorsabban megy!

Spring had arrived to Hungary, and I have been working on the upper right corner of Spring Knotgarden this week. It was quite difficult to get over the one over one little flowers - I started at least 4 times in the last months and always gave up after a few stitches - but once I found out how to proceed it went quite well. First time for me to do one over one, and mixed with quarted, half and regular stitches was quite a challenge. But finally I managed, and I hope the next side will be easier!

1. I used to do jogging, my biggest achievement was a half marathon. Since my baby boy came I suspended sports except running after him) but I am planning to restart!

5. I never drink coffee, I tried it once, but cannot stand the taste, not even in cakes.

A mostani fonalvéges fotó nem csak a fonalaim, de az üvegem végét is jelentette... Miután van még vagy 6 ilyen itthon, nagy kár nem ért, de azért kicsit sajnáltam szegényt.

This month's TUSAL photo documented not only the remains of my threads, but the remains of my ORT jar as well. I have several similar jars, so it is not a big loss, but still I was sad for my little friend...

Jobb későn mint soha - IHSW - Better later than never

Kicsit sűrű volt a hetem, de a múlt hétvége - hála nemzeti ünnepünknek elég hosszú volt ahhoz, hogy befejezzem az Őszikert 5. részét. A gyöngyök még hiányoznak, de így is nagyon szép lett, és már csak 1 rész van hátra, amit május elején fogunk megkapni.

I had a very busy week, so I did not have time to post my IHSW photos earlier, but as the Hungarian proverb goes better later than never, so here they are. However, thank to our national holiday on the 15th of March we had a long weekend, so I managed to finish Part 5 of Autumn Knotgarden. Apart from beading only Part 6 is missing, but it will be released in May, so I have to wait a little.

For my readers, who are not familiar with Hungarian national holidays a little history: Hungary was part of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy lead by the Habsburg dynasty. In 1848-49 there was a fight for our independence which started with a revolution in Budapest on the 15th of March. Sadly, we did not won this fight, but the day is very important for us, and became the symbol of freedom for all Hungarians. On this day we put a little circle of ribbon to our coats, called "kokárda" to remember for those who used this during the day more than 160 years ago. The ribbon is made up of colours of the Hungarian flag, the red stands for strength, white for loyalty, for green for hope.

Még mindig vonat / Still on the train

Bár a vírusok kitartóan ostromoltak, és még mindig nem hátrálnak, de azért sikerült újabb oldalt befejeznem a vonatból. Így elértem a 4/5t, már csak négy oldal, és készen vagyok! El sem hiszem, hogy már több mint egy éve dolgozom rajta, és lassan vége. Bár, ahogy számítom, még el fog júniusig tartani, hacsak meg nem táltosodom közben...

Despite the continuous and never ending attack of viruses I managed to finish another page of the Train. I reached 80%, only four pages to go! I can hardly believe that I've been working on this piece for more than a year, and it is kind of a finish line. Well, a real "kind of", since I estimate I will be ready by June, I plan to stitch 1 page each month.

Csakazértis befejezem / WIP killing contest

Beneveztem egy folyamatban lévő munka irtó versenyre, ahol a Chatelaine-ket lehet villámgyorsan befejezni. Nekem most az Őszi és Tavaszikert van a tarsolyomban, hátha május végére befejezem őket!

I am participating in the Chatelaine WIP slayer contest, where I should finish my Chatelaine WIPs by end of May. I nominated my Autumn and Spring Knotgardens, hopefully I can finish at least one of them!

IHSW Vonattal / IHSW on the Train

Egy időre eltüntem, súlyos náthavírustámadás érte a családunkat, és sorban ágynak dőltünk. De nem adtam fel, az IHSWre azért beneveztem. Az eredmény a piros könyv és az alatta alvó sárkányka feje. Februárban befejeztem az alatta lévő (15.) oldalt, így már 3/4-e kész a képnek!

Due to a serious invasion of flu viruses my family (and myself) was out of function for a time, so no stitching, no blogging. But for IHSW I returned, and finished the red book and the head of the dragonling below that. In February I succeeded with page 15 of the picture (the green wagon, clock and paper), so 3/4rd is ready!

Első dobozom / My first box

Befejeztem a Tralala mintát, és mivel Nina kérte, hogy ne hímzést, hanem teljesen befejezett valamit mutassak, gondolkodóba estem. Anik oldalán láttam egy kulcstartó dobozt, és innen jött az ötlet, hogy mi lenne, ha dobozt csinálnék? Festettem, béleltem, farkasfogaztam, és íme. Még látom rajta a gyerekbetegségeket, de ezekkel együtt is nagyon tetszik, tökéletes évkezdés! Kösz Nina a lehetőséget!

I have finished the Tralala design, and since Nina asked to show a real finish, not only the stitched pattern, I started thinking. I saw a keyholder box at Anik's blog, and here came the idea: let's try to make a box! I was painting, gluing, zigzagging, and although I see the parts to be improved, it is a perfect start for 2012. Thanks Nina for the opportunity!
