Baby sleeping pad

My first work ever - this was the trial piece for the 3 day quilting course I took in July. I see some place for improvement, but overall I am quite satisfied. I gave it to our niece who was a few month old at that time - she still sleeps with this.

2013 Summer

Fernhill by based on the design Fernhill by Lynette Anderson, with some real quilting added. I was lerning free motion quilting, applique basics and putting the block together. The animals are hand stitched, all other by machine.

I joined a quilting course in last July due to this design - I was thinking and rethinking almost for a year whether I really need a new hobby on top of stitching :) This was how it started and no stopping since.

Present for the nursery ladies - I have a helper, too

2013 June

I managed to do some stitching, but not a lot. These small lavender sachets with initials were present for my son's nursery ladies (teachers? aids?) and the flowers in the back are made my very skilfull 4 year old little one.

First double bed cover

My first real double bed quilt - not quilted only stitched in the ditch, the progress pictures are showing a better color similarity. It was a present for my cousin who wanted something romantic. The pink is full of roses.

And this final piece exhibited in the spare room of my parents - looks a little drab place, but it is actually empty.

Boldog karácsony! - Happy Christmas!

Ez a hét az öröm jegyében telik, kész lett a negyedik karácsonyi kép is, és ez kifejezetten jól haladt. Gyorsan készen lettem, lehet, hogy belejöttem? Vagy csak a lazább szerkesztés segített ... De mind megvan, bebújhatnak a dobozukba és várhatják a hópelyheket!

This week is a happy one: I am ready with the 4th Christmas picture, and it was a quick one. I was progressing well, maybe I have found the good way to finish them. Or it was simply less full than the others... But anyway, all of them is ready, they can go to their box to sleep till Christmas comes with the snow!

Kertek keretben - Gardens in frame

Megjöttek a kertek a keretezőtől, nagyon szép munkát végzett, és tetszik is a végeredmény. A képen nagyon barna a keret, de a valóságban egy kicsit ezüstösebb, pont jól megy a szürkékhez. Paszpartut végül nem tetettem, így szerintem jobban kiemeli a mintát. Kattintsatok a képekre!

I got the framed Gardens from the framer, I really like the outcome. Th picture it looks brown, but in reality it is with a little silver effect, goes very well with the greys and blues. I opted against the cardboard frame (passepartout?) because it suppresses the pattern. Click on the photos for a better look.

Mostanában ritka madár lettem, kevesebbet is hímzek, és a képekkel meg főleg hadilábon állok. De azért hoztam valamit!

These days I hardly have time to blog, and somehow I never get to upload any pictures. But now at least I managed to share something!

Karácsonyi meglepik - Christmas Surprises

Tavaly karácsonyra kaptam egy adag meglepit előre, hogy amikor van időm hímezgessem őket. Aprók, de nagyon küzdelmesek, mert extrakemény aida van a készletben, és nem leszámolós, hanem előre nyomott. A 4ből 2 kész!

Last Christmas I have received some small surprises to finish whenever I have time. They are smallish, but take my time: the fabric in the kit is an extremely hard aida, and it is not charted but printed, so I need a few weeks to recover after each one. 2 is ready, 2 more to go...

Itt a Tavasz - Spring finish

Nagyon régen írtam nektek, mert amióta dolgozom, olvasásra még csak-csak jut idő, de az írás sajna a luxuskategóriába csúszott. De most megembereltem magam, és gyorsan lefényképeztem a kész Tavaszikertet. Az utolsó öltéseket január végén tettem bele, és gyönyörű lett. Még gondolkozom mikor kezdjek vele a testvéreibe: a téli és a nyárikert már nagyon zizegnek a csomagjaikban!

It was a long time ago that I wrote anything to you. Since I've been back to work I manage time to read your blogs, but it is a luxury to find a little slot to write my own. But now I decided it cannot go on like this, and made some photos of the finished Spring Knotgarden. I put the last stitches in at the end of January, and it is beautiful! I am thinking when to start its sister Summer and brother Winter, they are exitedly skirming in their packages...
