Első dobozom / My first box

Befejeztem a Tralala mintát, és mivel Nina kérte, hogy ne hímzést, hanem teljesen befejezett valamit mutassak, gondolkodóba estem. Anik oldalán láttam egy kulcstartó dobozt, és innen jött az ötlet, hogy mi lenne, ha dobozt csinálnék? Festettem, béleltem, farkasfogaztam, és íme. Még látom rajta a gyerekbetegségeket, de ezekkel együtt is nagyon tetszik, tökéletes évkezdés! Kösz Nina a lehetőséget!

I have finished the Tralala design, and since Nina asked to show a real finish, not only the stitched pattern, I started thinking. I saw a keyholder box at Anik's blog, and here came the idea: let's try to make a box! I was painting, gluing, zigzagging, and although I see the parts to be improved, it is a perfect start for 2012. Thanks Nina for the opportunity!

Nyár a télben / Summer in the Winter

Haladtam egy kicsit a Tralala nyári mintával, bár nem sokat, mert az apróság beteg lett. SZerencsére semmi komoly, de ilyenkor inkább az ő hátát kell vakargatnom a hímzés helyett. Itt tartok most:

I made a little progress with the Tralala summer design, but not a lot, because our tiny one is a little ill. Fortunately nothing serious, but at times like my first and foremost task is to skratch his little back. So here I am now:

Tegnap megkaptam Nina fonalait a postástól (a történet itt), és gyönyörűek. Gyorsan neki is fogtam a Tralala Jardin d'été mintának, legyen egy kis nyár a télben! A fényviszonyok nem igazán kedveztek a színeknek, talán a közeli adja legjobban vissza az eredetit. Elhatároztam, hogy kipróbálom a fonalfektetést (railroading), eddig jól megy, de a színátmenetes fonal miatt teljes x-ket varrok, a hátulja egy nagy dzsumbuj, és nem igazán lesz egyenletes a végeredmény, valamit ki kell találnom erre. Bármi ötletet, tanácsot szívesen fogadok!

Yesterday I had received Nina's threads from the postman (story behind is here), and I quickly started to stitch Jardin d'été from Tralala. A little summer in the big winter! The light is not very good for the colours, maybe the closeup is the closest to the original. This is the first time I tried railroading, I hope I can manage it, until now it does not seem to be terrible. But I am fighting with the full crosses I use due to the hand dyed variegated floss, I do not like the final effect, and the back is mixed up. All  advice is appreciated!
