Új háttér / New background

Már régóta nézegetem a háttereket, hogy kéne valami jobb, mint a sima blogspotos, és most találtam egyet. Még gondolkodom rajta, hogy vajon ez lesz-e az igazi, de egy ideig azt hiszem megtartom.

I was going through several backgroung offering pages to find something personal instead of the standard blogspot one, but until now I did not find anything nice. I still thinking whether this is Mr Right One, but I will stick to this - at least for a time...

IHSW S(z)eptember

Vége az IHSW hétvégének, és az eredmény egyrészt kevesebb, másrészt több. mint amit terveztem. A sárkánykával csak kicsit haladtam, lett egy teljes vonatkocsija, kevés arannyal és egy nagyobbacska fekete folttal:

És ami több: valami teljes darabot is szerettem volna készíteni, és ezért gyorsan kivarrtam egy bazsalikomot (Cross My Heart: Sampling of Herbs). Nem tartott sokáig, és nagyon mutatós példány szerintem. Egy sorozat első darabja, a gazda még kicsit kérdéses, 2 jelölt verseng jelenleg.

But I also wanted some finished piece and I chose a basil (Cross My Heart: Sampling of Herbs). This is the first piece in a row of herbs, the owner is still undecided, 2 competitors are in the ring. And a little language lesson: Bazsalikom means basil in Hungarian.

IHSW start

Ma kezdődik az IHSW, és jobb híján folytatom a sárkánykám. Szívem szerint már a Chatelaine őszikertet hímezném, de még nincs meg hozzá a vásznam, a karácsonyi képemnél ugyanez a helyzet, így visszatértem a régi bevált HAED mintámhoz. Legalább azzal is haladok, most így néz ki.

IHSW starts today, and I will stitch my dragonling. I would rather do the Chatelaine Autumn Knotgarden, but I do not have the fabric, the same with my christmas nativity project, so I returned to my good old HAED. At least I make some progress. Here how it looks this morning.

Képzeljétek mi történt tegnap! Levelet kaptam az European Cross Stitchtől, hogy visszakerült hozzájuk az elveszettnek hitt csomagom! 3 és fél hónap vándorlás után mégsem nyelte el a posta bendője, hanem visszairányították őket a feladóhoz. Úgyhogy választhattam, hogy a pénzt kérem-e vissza, vagy levásárolom, és hát a vásárlás győzött... Emlékeztek mit mondtam pár nappal ezelőtt? Mostanában úgysem rendelek semmit :) De hát ez más helyzet, talált pénzt nem szabad parlagon hagyni! Már régóta nézegettem az egyik új Chatelaine mintát, a Herbulariust, (középkori gyógyfüve klastromkert), csak nagyon borsosnak találtam a fonalak árát. De ezzel a meglepivel már barátságosabban hangzik.

Guess what! I got a letter from European Cross Stitch, my lost package was returned to them! After 3 and a half month on the road, and the post was not the package eating monster as I believed, only took them a while to send it back. Do not ask why... So I had the choice of getting my money back or use it for something else. Do you remember my previous post when I said I would not by anything? What do you think my answer was? You guessed right: of course I will get a new Chatelaine: Herbularius. I've been considering it since Martina published the idea, a medieval cloister herb garden, but the floss is quite expensive. But with the money lost and found it sounds much better!

Nemzetközi Remete Hímző Hétvége / IHSW

Csatlakoztam a nemzetközi remetehímzős hétvégéhez (IHSW). Félreértés ne essék, nem remetéket hímzünk, hanem minden hónap 3.hétvégéjén megpróbálunk a lehető legtöbb időt szentelni a hímzésnek, és utána megmutatjuk egymásnak mire jutottunk. Csatlakozni bárkinek lehet, az IHSW rövidítés mögött megtaláljátok a részleteket. Az ötletgazda Joyce, köszönöm neki a lehetőséget!

I joined the International Hermit & Stitch Weekend (IHSW). To make it clear, you do not have to stitch hermits, only stitch as much as possible on the 3rd weekend of each month, and show your work to your fellows afterwards. Problémamegoldás tesztelő / Customer service testing

Úgy látszik hivatásos problémavonzó lettem, és teszteltem melyik weboldal hogy reagál erre. A három nemzetközi rendelésemből 3 problémába futottam az elmúlt hetekben/hónapokban. Az European CrossStitchél a posta nyúlta le a csomagom, a sewandso kifelejtett egy motring fonalat, az 123stitch pedig rossz színű anyagot küldött, amit persze csak akkor vettem észre amikor már hímeztem rá.

A sewandso és az 123stitch szó nélkül javított, küldték(küldik) a módosítást, az EXStichnél pedig feleztünk, de mondjuk ez volt messze a legértékesebb, szóval érthető ha nem vállalták be ami nem az ő saruk. Remélem mostantól már elkerül a balszerencse, bár megfogadtam, egy ideig semmit sem fogok rendelni, van bőven varrnivalóm itthon is.

It seems that I became an official problem magnet, therefore I have tested the customer service of the stitching webshops. I had 3 international orders in the last few weeks/months and I had problems with all the three! At European CrossStitch the post lost my package, sewandso forgot one floss, 123stitch mixed up the fabric and sent a wrong one (I was wondering whether it is the right colour but I started stitch on that...).

And the result of the - unwilling - testing: sewandso and 123stitch corrected their mistakes without a word, EXStitch offered a 50% reduction of the reorder. I can understand their point, because this was not their mistake, and the package was the most expensive by far. Hopefully my testing period is over, but to be on the safe side I made a promise not to order anything for a while...

Karácsonyi hangulat / Feeling like Christmas

Rájöttem, hogy mégsem kezdem el a Chatelaine mintákat, mert nincs 32ct lenanyagom (Belfast), csak pamut, és az nem olyan szép. Szóval kicsit pihen még a dolog, és inkább a karácsonyi képet vettem elő, és egy kicsit haladtam vele. A fotót nézve viszont rájöttem, hogy a Victoria Sampler honlapon sokkal szürkébb anyagon van a minta, sokkal jobban látszik a hóesés és az angyalok szárnya is. Úgyhogy írtam az 123stitchnek, hogy most mi legyen, szerintem elcserélték az anyagot. Nagyon rámjár a rúd... Mondjuk így sem csúnya, de azért a másikon szebb, csak először azt hittem a nyomtatás miatt lett szürkébb a háttér, hát nem.

I decided not to start the Chatelaine designs because I do not have 32 ct linen (Belfast) only cotton, and that is not the same. So I need some more time, and I took out my Nativity and made a small progress. However, during stitching  have realised that most probably mixed my materials at 123stitch, because on the Victoria Sampler homepage the background is much darker, you should see the white much more. I quickly wrote to 123stitch and I am waiting for their answer what can we do in such case. I am really on the bad side of the stitching god...I think it is not ugly with this fabbie, but the original is much nicer....
